Audio Post Production for TV and Video Diploma Review

"Having worked with audio for over 10 years and professionally for over 5 years - covering radio broadcasting, linear and non-linear editing, for audio and visual productions; I decided to return to education to further my skills by starting the Industry course in Audio Post Production for TV and Video course at The School of Sound Recording in Manchester, UK; to be able to incorporate my video and audio background and skills together. The course finished in March 2010, in line with the completion of Media City in Salford, UK and I was one of only 6 graduates to complete this course for the first time. The course has been written and is supported by media organizations such as Sumners and 3Sixty Media. I worked on a variety of different projects and it has given me a new focus of interest in trying my hand at different roles within the sector.
I feel I have an advantage over new graduates in a similar position because of my community background and related hands on experience, that are important transferable skills and soft skills that are an essential key to working in a team or individually; for myself, small organisations or international companies.
For further information on my skills and training please look at my Intros page.
